As EMEA Application Engineer, you will be the key person supporting pre sales activities by providing technical and domain expertise for solving our utility and energy customers' challenges with Eaton's Brightlayer Utilities Suite offerings.

• Opportunity to work for entire EMEA region, within an agile organization with startup mind set
• Acquire hands-on expertise (install, configure, troubleshoot) on Eaton Brightlayer Utilities Suite offerings
• Prepare use-case demos addressing utility challenges by using Brightlayer Utilities Suite offerings
• Run use-case demonstrations remotely or in face-to-face engagements
• Perform technical assessment, design technical solutions, drive value selling and prepare statement of work for proposals and tender documents with clarifications and deviations
• Implement and test integrations of Brightlayer Utilities Suite products with 3rd-party products/solutions
• Provide training, technical, and on-site support to internal sales/services teams, business partners and customers
• Participate in FAT, SAT, and commissioning phases of the projects.

Qualifications :

• BSc. in Electrical/ Electronic Engineering / Control Engineering/ Computer Science or a related area
• Technical background in grid and industrial automation systems
• Very good command of English is a must; Germen or French is a plus
• Minimum 3 years relevant experience in grid automation
• Minimum 7 years of working experience.

Skills :

• Hands-on substation automation experience:
• Utility SCADA and automation solutions is necessary, industrial SCADA and automation is a plus
• Programming and configuration of RTUs, Controllers, Protection Relays, IEC-61131, HMI
• Commissioning and acceptance tests
• Communication protocols IEC 61850 MMS/GOOSE, IEC 60870-5-101/103/104, Modbus TCP/RTU, DNP 3.0, OPC
• Industrial automation and control systems cybersecurity (IEC62443, IEC 62351, ISO 27019)
• Understanding of ICT
• Network topology (LAN/WAN) and network configuration L2/L3/L4
• Windows & Linux OS
• Development experience using scripting and programming languages
• Basic experience in database technologies (Oracle or Microsoft)
• Virtualization tools
• Pre-sales experience:
• Customer facing; product, use-case, PoC, PoT presentations, demonstrations and whiteboarding
• Opportunity identification, validation, and qualification
• Technical offer preparation
• Troubleshooting.

Soft Skills :

• Customer focused communication, presentation, interpersonal, and analytical skills
• Ability to communicate complex concepts clearly across different audiences and at varying levels in the organization
• Ability to navigate in a matrix organization
• A quick learner & should have a keen eye for problem-solving
• Open for up to 50% travel.
